Meet Kevin Leahy

Mr. Leahy is committed to providing expert advice that helps businesses thrive and enjoys supporting his local community. Through strategic guidance, practical insights, and a first-hand understanding of leadership challenges, he helps business leaders expand their business and create unparalleled value for the people they serve. He holds authoritative positions within the financial industry as well as several security licenses, making him an invaluable asset to his clients.

How it all began

Mr. Leahy grew up in Lincroft, NJ, where he attended Christian Brothers Academy. He went on to earn a BA in Economics from Providence College, and his MBA from Babson College.

Mr. Leahy began his professional career as a member of the audit practice at KPMG specializing in hospitals, brokerages, and banking, while also participating in its Professional Development Practice. He then moved on to the Pershing LLC division at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he gained invaluable experience in process management, audits, internal & external consulting, and relationship management.

Mr. Leahy, a CPA, founded Locust Advisory, LLC. in 2012 to help businesses succeed by guiding executives through the thoughtful planning and implementation of strategies that ensure their short- and long-term goals are met. In working with lawyers, accountants, bookkeepers, and other professionals, Mr. Leahy strikes a balance between taking risks and staying within his clients’ comfort zones, whether they are acquiring other firms, planning succession strategies, or simply reevaluating their operations. Locust Advisory, LLC is registered with the NJ State Board of Accountancy.

In addition to collaborating with local businesses, Mr. Leahy has assisted several community organizations, including Monmouth Park Charity Fund, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, Parker Family Health Center, The RBR Source Foundation, Mercy Center, and Lunch Break. Mr. Leahy’s contributions include fundraising, leadership development, and organizational efforts.
